Hi guys,
I do not know where to start. But on the other hand, I always want to think positive and post positive things to inspire others. At times, we can't avoid talking about these challenges that comes our way, in between our busy days.
For the last couple of months, since we started our local clinic in town, in giving free surgical operation to indigent children with facial deformities, our patients were okay, but circumstances beyond our control happens.
Jerome, our first two months ago had a successful surgery, until we came to know that his mother is suffering from a psychological trauma due to poor environment, broken family and malnutrition. We try to help in some ways. Jerome will need his second surgery in four months to finally fix his facial deform after his mother hit him unconciously in his face and damage again the operated area of his cleft lip.
Christine, our second beneficiary had another perfect surgery. Until, yesterday, i got a call that she and her family met a motor accident up in the mountain where they live. It sounds so terrible when I get the call and right now, we are waiting for development, as she had a major head injury, while the parents now are out of danger.
Two weeks ago, Marc Angelo, thanks God, so adorable made my week when I came to visit them in their house. His innocent smile continue to give me courage to face the unexpected.
Our silent sponsors of these children are excited and enthusiastic to help them in one way or another. God bless their kindred spirit.
On the other hand, inspite of the setbacks along the way, God has blessed me with an upcoming job. A challenging one I may say. I can't say more until I get all my requirements passed and finally get on chair to start it. I thank God for the blessing of paying jobs. It will continue to sustain my non-paying volunteer jobs in the community...hehehe amusing noh! Yes, I work for these children who are so helpless and need our extra care and resources.
Endurance teaches us to grow in strength and maturity. This is how I see it. God gave us setbacks as an opportunity to serve with joy. It gives me the reason to live and to be happy, to love life to the fullest and to continue to be closer to God. As I continually pray, bless our children, bless us and bless our benefactors.
To God all be the glory!
