THE JOY TO SERVE
Thank you to my APCI family for the two years of trust and confidence in me in leading the way to our goal: Media in pursuit of Culture Excellence.
In my heart, I believed that I have served the organization for two years.. with all my strength and joy to serve you all. I chose the road less traveled to be of service to you. I did not regret anything. In fact, it helped me more to become strong, to make myself better, to inspire others to be better, and to help you dream more for the next leadership, for the dreams we still have to achieve.
There were glitches, however, we can't have a perfect reign. There will always be challenges along the way, but we have overcome it, and we will still overcome more as we move on, thanks God.
On the other hand, it saddened me that we have not yet attained the dream we all wanted. The building for Communication Excellence and Livelihood Training Center and the Welfare Program for all the practicing media. This is too ambitious to reach, but with our continuing effort to dream, someday, we can make it happen. I do not lose hope, anyway. I wish more for the next leadership.
Whoever will be the next leader, I vow that I will be behind you all the time, in my little capacity to help and assist you guys, I will be there. We are all in this together! I have developed a family in you and I always pray for APCI's welfare and safety all the time.
No matter what happen, please continue to uphold our ideals and principles. You know what I mean. Do not be discouraged by gossips, negative reaction, stabbing at the back by others, being nuisance to our desire, hope and dreams, people whose mentality is to put us down, to provoke us, others who are narrow minded or too confident of themselves, etc. These are the people that is not worth of our time and effort. But, keep this in mind, they are the same people who keep us going, they are our inspiration and motivation to be better and make this world a better place for all.We can only pray for them to have peace within.
Think about this. We can't be better, if there are no bitter people around us. Do you realize that by appreciating the negative, it actually fuels our desire to do more, to be better and to attain our dreams. Yes, it is because of these challenges that we have to live up to our vision, mission and objectives. We have to continue to make APCI - THE MEDIA IN PURSUIT OF CULTURE EXCELLENCE.
To the next leadership and new members, embrace all the opportunities to learn, unlearn and re-learn. Open your mind and heart in order for us to accept and understand the people and the world around us. We need to be consistent in our aim and desire to make progress in every task we are assigned to. Enjoy endurance to keep you going and to grow in faith. Keep your courage, be obedient and hopeful and consider every challenges/problems/trouble an opportunity to serve with joy and to grow in character. Be compassionate and hold on to your ideals and principles - your integrity is of utmost important. Remember what the Lord says in the bible, "What if you gain the whole world, but loses your soul...." Our God is just giving us enough to live on a day to day basis (Our Father). Learn to appreciate the little things and "do small things with great love" (Mother Teresa).
To our benefactors and followers, you have served as our allies and partners in all that we do. We owe it all to you. It is still my desire that may you continue our partnership in the next leadership and beyond. Gratitude will always be in our hearts. Most importantly, prayers are the only gift we can give back to you.
To all of you guys, there are more words to say, more people to be recognized, but for now, it can only be uttered as one - THANK YOU very much from the bottom of my heart. You are assured of my continued prayers and support. Oh, and continue to smile and laugh in between uncertainty and adversity in life. Goodluck and may God bless us all!
See you MAY 25, 2013 - Election of New Officers and new member's accreditation. After the regular KAPIHAN SA AKLAN @ Payag Street Lounge, Kalibo, Aklan.
