ONE WEEK BLISS

July 22 - Flight with our cleft patient - Jerome to Manila for his free surgery with our lead Surgeon. I was accompanied by one of our benefactors for his trip and went straight to the Philippine Band of Mercy for Pedia clearance.

July 23 - Admitted Jerome for surgery the next day. Met kind Nurses and Dr. Santos. We not only talked about Jerome's case but also the many plight of our cleft lip and palate children, including the case of Baby Leo.
July 24 What a blessed day for Jerome, another miracle was performed and finally got his bilateral lip done perfectly. His palate will be done after 4 months. I was crying in thanksgiving to the Lord for mending our children, one at a time, through the healing and wonderful hands of our volunteer Doctors and Nurses. I was at the Operating Room the whole time at the Recovery Room with Jerome, until he transferred to the Post OP Room. I was nursing him while waiting for a reliever. Bought him toys and put him to sleep while he was in a little bit of pain. A healing touch can only put him to relax.

Then I met with my Clouds and Kuya Justy (adopted Seminary Brod) in UST for a chillax! I love them both and they made my day after a tiring duty at the hospital hehehe...tiring but rewarding!

July 25 - Jerome was finally discharged. Then I got a lunch invitation to attend a joint meeting of RC Forbes and RC Manila. Met new fellow Rotarians and more people with the same heart as my advocacy would lead us together to the road less traveled. Wonderful day, indeed! God led me to them to do more missions, non-stop!

Another fulfilling day is meeting with new acquaintances at 8Layers Technologies, Inc. Speaking of God's good beautiful timing! Meeting with the same minds of people to carry out our life's purpose here on earth. More learning opportunities, collaboration and advocacy to do around. I thanked God for leading me to them, or them to me. Everything has its purpose, in God's own beautiful time.

Another respite after a busy week, was a good time with my daughter and BFF Edrik of Knowledge Channel. Meeting his crew and more friends from the cast of PAMANA (A Father, A Mother, A Nation). It was a press con and  teaser of PAMANA  - a docu-musical theater, a story of hardwork, sacrifice and family values...more to come in August.

What a week full of bliss and blessedness! Thank you God for using me as your instrument of peace, love, joy and unity!

Now, I can't wait to be home and back for the weekend's mission with another group of people who called for help.

I sometimes ask God. God, where are you leading me? I just feel happy about life. I can't complain. Busy days with good people is keeping me away from 'trouble' (smile)...leading me to a good life! Amen.
