LOVE TANK

Someone texted me last week when I said I will be out of town and she wishes me this, “May you fill your love tank with more love that when you come back, you will be more inspired to serve for the Lord.” Beautiful and inspiring quotes, huh!  I did. I usually fill my love tank in between my busy schedules. Just between you and me, this is my secret of a good life, no matter how adverse and cruel the world around me, I managed to maneuver with positive good vibes, thanks God!

How do you feel your love tank when you are depressed? When you are in deep sorrow? When you are frustrated? When the world around you crumbled? Even when you are in a state of happiness, still, you need to fill your love tank.

People need good things to fuel their spirit to the optimum.  What are the things that bring contentment and joy to you so you can say, you have filled up your love tank?

Personally, my only consolations are simple - Loved ones (including closest friends), Salon and Spa. What keeps me busy? My paid job. What makes me smile? My loved ones. What keeps me going? My advocacy. How about you? What fills your love tank?

There are many things that will make us fill our love tanks. Here are some suggestions from experience.

  1. Buy a gift for a friend, whether with occasion or none. Visit a friend, not just for a reason…but a genuine visit whether he or she needs you or not.
  2. Take a walk and feel the breeze. Feel and appreciate the nature as you pass by. Hum a song while you walk.
  3. Cook your favorite meal, for a change, but remember to eat healthy and in moderation.
  4. Make a blog and inspire others of what you do. Encourage them to join you and help make others good to be better, and their better to be best.
  5. Call a friend. Do not text. Call and hear him/her laugh because you surprised them. Do not forget to appreciate what they do, no matter how small it is.
  6. Take time to smell the aroma and sip your favorite coffee/tea while you read inspiring, good books. Focus on empowering thoughts and actions.
  7. Date a friend.  Take time to listen and talk about the latest of each other.
  8. Do not expect something in return. Give with the fullest of heart and forget about it.
  9. Treat yourself to a spa and salon. Pamper yourself for a day and get energized. I call my day at the salon/spa – “Ganda day!” You owe it to yourself!
  10. Learn a word or two every day. Open your mind and heart to new learning opportunities. Learn to unlearn and re-learn.
  11. Learn to love thyself.  Take time to appreciate yourself. It keeps the love burning from within if you put this in your thoughts, that all that radiates from you will be shared by the people around you.  Love is contagious.
  12. Humor yourself. Age matters, so take time to smile often. Learn to laugh at your own mistakes.
  13. Listen to your favorite music. Sing along with it and dance like nobody is watching.
  14. Be surrounded by positive people. Keep away from people who bring trouble.
  15. Appreciate little things, for in them comes bigger surprises. Speak only good of things, no matter what. If you have nothing good to say, shut up!
  16. Plunge to something new that gives excitement to your busy life. Make it interesting, no regrets but take chances to experience the life that brings you.
  17. Join ADVOCACY and make a better world for others who are unfortunate to live a good life unlike you have now.
  18. Hug someone today. Say “I LOVE YOU” to someone who deserves it.
  19. Learn to forgive. Do not bear grudges. Healthy heart matters.
  20. Pray. Live by faith. Believe in Jesus. “We are nothing without Him.” He is the source of all our strength.
  21. Love life. Live a good, interesting life. Enjoy to the fullest.

…and many more. Discover what fills your love tank. Then do it, ASAP! Do not delay good things and kind act. If you want to feel happy and be contented in life, serve with joy from the heart. Goodluck!
