Emissary Visit Commenced

There is so much good things to talk about..

Okey, let us start where I stop blogging the last few days...I guess the last blog was our visit to Roxas City...

Then I left for Manila to rendezvous with Dr. Jaime and Pat to finally end our emissary missio visit in preparation for the Operation Taghoy 2010.

At first, I have to attend the MOA signing at the Manila Polo Club. With all long time friends around, it was an overwhelming welcome they accorded to us. Thank you to our good friends from Forbes Park and we are looking forward to a wonderful partnership this year again. To Ed, Palmy, new found friend Paolo Martelino who is looking for his relative from our town, of course our benefactor of project W.A.L.K , Hiro..my hero hehehe indeed he was instrumental of taking good care of Arnel {prosthesis beneficiary} last time and all others in the group.

From the meeting, I have to leave for the airport and fetch Jaime and Pat from Ormoc/Cebu City. From the airport, has to go straight right away to a quick snack and meeting with Ed re the dreams of Jaime for Taghoy. It was indeed a wonderful laying down of groundworks and positive response from Ed in the contunuity of our partnership. On the side, Pat and I enjoyed the 5-cheese pizza at Chelsea, the Fort area in Makati.....{wink}

The next day, we have to hop to another hotel and meet with my long time benefactor PAL Foundation Director - Menchu. Together with Jaime, Pat, we met Dr. Glenda de Villa, Ms. Mel Maranan and Paolo {speech therapist}, all three are from Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Phillippines. Of course, the meeting is not complete with the most important person in the group - The Smile Train Regional Director -Southeast Asia - Mr. Rogelio C. La O' Jr. or simply Cooey, who is as enthusiastic as Glenda and Mel in supporting the partnership with Uplift Internationale/Operation Taghoy sustainable taghoy cleft clinic around the Philippines.

Our two weeks emissary visit is an amazing and fantastic result of the goodness of the Lord to those who sincerely serves HIS children with facial deformities. The people whom we met and talk along the way of our journey, are instrumental in making our children smile and whistle after the miracle hands of our volunteer medical practitioners around the globe.

Holy Spirit, open my heart to the truths that I need to learn so that I will fully understand and live the freedom You have given me. Help me to choose well, to always choose the good and never anything contrary to my human nature.

Let us talk on the light side, meeting Hiro of Canadian Manufacturing and New Creation Manufacturing Co.,Inc is another miracle of the day. After the tour, the night before i left for Kalibo, my long time friends from LaSalle, Meriam and Talent Center with two others new found friends including a cancer survivor took me for a treat dinner at Super Bowl and play in Timezone in Glorietta, just accross our hotel - Intercon Makati. There, my two-week trips finally commence. God's wonderful wisdom guided me all throughout...after a long week work, of course, I have time for pleasure and fun with old friends I haven't seen for ages....to maximize my time in the city, we all have to get together, huh...

When I touched down Kalibo International Airport the next day...another amazing miracle happened....my brother from the UN Liberia arrived and the four of us siblings for the first time in many years get together in a simple dinner with some in-laws to complete my trip.
